Collection: concealed zipper #8

  • The Hidden Elements: The defining feature. Unlike a regular coil or metal zipper, the teeth—or "elements," as we call them—are tucked away on the backside of the zipper tape. When it's properly sewn in and closed, all you see is a clean, continuous seam line with a tiny pull tab at the top. The rest of the mechanism is completely invisible.

  • Construction: These are almost always made with a lightweight, flexible nylon or polyester coil. This choice of material is crucial because it allows the zipper to flex and curve without adding bulk, which is exactly what you need for a smooth, uninterrupted look on fine fabrics.

  • The 8-Inch Length: This is a workhorse size. It's the go-to length for the side seams of skirts, the back of many dresses, or for adding a discrete closure to a decorative pillow or cushion cover. It offers plenty of opening for garments without requiring a lot of extra zipper tape, making it an efficient choice.

  • The Slider and Puller: The slider is designed to be slim and low-profile. The puller is typically a small, teardrop or rectangle shape that lies flat against the seam, blending in perfectly.
